Opportunities for Writers

          This page contains brief descriptions and links to the sites of various opportunities and positions available throughout the industry.  Opportunities range from volunteers to actual job offers and may include committees  and requests for additional chapters from various organizations.  Other listings are for new publications and jobs openings.  We will try to explain the categories if appropriate. Note if you need any additional instructions or information please contact the organization directly.  We would appreciate feedback on any opportunities we missed so that we can post them immediately, thank you for your help. There will be a small fee for extended listings -- it helps us stay on line...

For now, please bear with some of the fictitious examples that follow. This was the only way we could provide a "dummy" (which means - sampling - in the trade)  to those organizations wishing to advertise their openings on our site.

The First Health Magazine seeks evergreen feature stories on a wide variety of health related topics. The focus is on the belief that a healthy body, mind and spirit are the basis for good health. Request a sample issue in writing. Please allow 6 weeks for review of submissions. All writers must submit a short paragraph about their story ideas via email to the editor at: FirstHealth@bellsouth.net 

The publishers are also interested in dialog with individuals who are searching for a magazine publishing opportunity in their respective cities or communities. The publication has very low entry barriers and start up cost are minimal. The magazine is prepared by the home office and sent as a template for the local associate publisher to insert the client's ads. This is a perfect work from home business opportunity for those looking to operate their business from the comfort of their home.
