Alliance Member Update

The likelihood of taking your favorite laptop and a steamy cup of Chamomile tea, to relax in bed while you fall asleep, is as remote as a weekend trip around the world on the space shuttle.

The tried and true method is a book. It is a natural event. For many of us mom or dad tucked you in and read from a book - not a laptop. Who knows, maybe by the time we celebrate the year 2025, things might be very different. There may be a hologram to read stories from and the high end techie might have special electrode glasses to navigate the images -  who knows?

I think the book will be around for a very long time. Even though things change as we move ahead with technology, but I seriously doubt that books will fall into one of those things. And so, the tradition will continue.

This web site and the content will help dispel the nay-sayers that still insist that the book is dead. Help us bring about the latest and most compelling stories by new and emerging authors. It is often said (or written somewhere - anyway) that the wise man (pc = person) always learns from another’s mistakes. This is what an organization is all about. The ability and the means to share your experiences with others. When people gather and form a community, there is a natural tendency to work together. Lets take the steps to make this happen and maybe we can learn from each other and become better writers... and eventually - be published.
